At Green Geeks Tree Services, we are a proud family owned and operated business with Michael being a certified Arborist with 18 years’ industry and technical experience, as a third generation Arborist. Through years of technical training, working hard and gaining invaluable knowledge, as a professional within the industry, we have forged a niche business that strives for quality and excellence, working as a dedicated husband-and-wife team, alongside hard working staff, and the support of four children. Michael’s passion for Trees and the industry is evident where he continues to provide optimal safety, high level of skill and professional results on site, ensuring exceptional outcomes for each client. While Ashlee leads behind the scenes in office management, handling financial and administrative tasks, ensuring a positive customer centric approach, within the business, both working seamlessly together in providing a sustainable and quality Tree business, for our future generations.

What is involved in Climbing and Aerial work on my Trees?
Climbing and Aerial work is classified as Specialised Tree Work in accessing difficult positioned Trees at heights, where machinery is inaccessible, and the safest option for the Tree and surrounding property for removal or trimming is to provide either of these speciality services. Both services include an experienced Arborist to climb or scale the Tree using ropes, harnesses and complimentary safety gear at inaccessible heights, in safely lowering either Tree trimmings or blocks to the ground with ropes, while avoiding impact on property.
What is a crown reduction?
A crown reduction is technique within pruning that ultimately aims to decrease the size and weight from the structure of the ‘crown’ of the Tree. This is carefully done through removing the branches most typically from the upper and outer limbs of the Tree to help reduce the overall height and spread of the Tree. This technique is commonly used as a pruning guide for Fruit Tree Pruning to help encourage new growth and better fruiting.

Working with Unqualified Arborists is a Very Dangerous Game!
The reality of this type of work is that it is incredibly dangerous, and the safety of all involved including the client is of paramount importance.
A Qualified Arborist has a minimum cert3 in Arboriculture, with no less than 3 years industry trade experience, has worked extensively alongside other experienced and qualified Arborists, in learning the importance of safety, correct industry pruning and removal techniques including advanced removal techniques, in conducting a career of importance in safety and professionalism.
The reality of working with an unqualified Arborist or inexperienced Tree Lopper, is one of often being self-taught and the risk of not having correct insurances for the industry, or the correct knowledge in techniques and safety, that could potentially put your property, safety and safety of others in jeopardy. Although many people consider Arborists and Tree Loppers to be interchangeable in the profession, this could not be further from the truth. This is why we combine our strict safety policies with years of industry experience.
